Built From a Lifetime of Surfing.
JEDA Surfboards was born from decades of surfing, shaping and building boards in El Salvador.
Local Knowledge
Our boards are developed around the waves we actually surf — from powerful point breaks to fast, technical performance waves.
Every model starts with real experience in the water.
Modern Craftsmanship
Digital design and precision shaping are combined with traditional hand finishing, glassing and quality control.
Every board is built with performance, consistency and durability in mind.
A Passion That Started
With Surfing.
At the center of JEDA Surfboards is Salvadoran surfer and shaper Jaime “Papaya” Delgado.
Papaya began shaping surfboards at just 16 years old, during a time when boards were extremely difficult to find in El Salvador. Broken and oversized boards were stripped down, reshaped and laminated again simply to create something that could be surfed.
What started out of necessity quickly became a lifelong passion.
Over the years, his experience took him beyond El Salvador, including periods building boards in Guatemala and working in China, while continuing to shape, repair and develop surfboards locally.
Today, that experience lives inside every JEDA board.
JEDA stands for Jaime Ernesto Delgado Aguilar — a name built from a lifetime in surfing.
Every Board Has a Purpose.
From the first design line to the final finish, every JEDA is developed with a clear objective: build a surfboard that performs where and how it is meant to be surfed.
Our approach combines local surfing knowledge, modern digital design, precision shaping and hands-on craftsmanship. Every model is developed around specific conditions, surfing styles and performance goals rather than simply following a generic formula.
From volume distribution and rocker to rails, bottom contours, tail design and fin setup, each element is considered as part of the complete board.
The result is a surfboard developed with intention, built locally in El Salvador and finished with the same attention we would expect from a board we surf ourselves.
